LIEUTENANT JONATHAN LAREDO

LT. Laredo is a native of Upstate South Carolina and a 2013 graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After commissioning from Officer Candidate School in 2017 he earned his Surface Warfare qualification forward deployed on USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) homeported in Rota, Spain. During his first tour, he completed three Forward Deployed Naval Forces-Europe Patrols in the U.S. 6th Fleet AOR, a Material Inspection by the Board of Inspection and Survey, and the Royal Navy’s Flag Officer Sea Training.

Ashore, LT Laredo graduated from Naval Nuclear Propulsion Engineering training in Charleston, South Carolina. Following graduation, Laredo transferred to USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) for his second division officer tour in San Diego, California. He deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet AOR and completed two Operational Reactor Safeguards Examinations.

LT Laredo assumed duties as an Officer Instructor at NROTC Unit Los Angeles (UCLA) in July 2023.
