A native of San Antonio, TX, Lieutenant Patricia A. L. Walker graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications. She earned her commission as a Surface Warfare Officer via Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI.

Afloat, Lieutenant Walker’s operational assignments include Division Officer tours as the Gunnery and Ordnance Officer onboard USS HALSEY (DDG 97) in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and most recently onboard USS CHUNG-HOON (DDG 93) as the Damage Control Assistant in San Diego, California. She has completed three deployments including counter narcotics operations in South and Central America with the United Sates Coast Guard, a Carrier and Expeditionary Strike Group deployment, Operation Final Countdown to Fifth Fleet, and two Carrier Strike Group Deployments to Seventh Fleet.

Lieutenant Walker has two beautiful children, her daughter Kai’lani and her little cousin Jonasia that she cares for and enjoys spending time with. She also cares for her mother Bonnie which is her backbone and heart. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and enjoys volunteer work and service.

Lieutenant Walker’s military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in addition to various unit and campaign awards.
