The Department of Naval Science is home to the Naval ROTC Unit at UCLA – a unique and distinguished program that focuses on preparing high-achieving undergraduate students (Midshipmen) in the Bruin Battalion to commission as junior officers in the Navy/Marine Corps. Through specialized academic curricula, exercises in peer leadership and hands-on experiences, our future Naval Officers gain a basic professional background with a potential for future development in mind and character so as to assume the highest responsibilities of command, citizenship and government.
Private contributions play a key role in enhancing the quality of our program, our facilities, and enriching our students’ academic and non-academic resources and opportunities. Your support is deeply appreciated and will help us sustain and expand our continued excellence and achievements. Donations are directly deposited into and processed by the UCLA Foundation – which has no affiliation to the Department of the Navy/Department of Defense.
